LEGAL
Terms & Conditions
Last updated 31 August 2026. Welcome to Orbitrock. These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of Orbitrock.com, including the purchase, download and use of datasets and any other services provided through the website. By accessing Orbitrock, creating an account or purchasing or downloading a dataset, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. About Orbitrock
Orbitrock is an online marketplace providing access to datasets covering a wide range of industries, subjects and categories.
Throughout these Terms, "Orbitrock", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the operator of Orbitrock.com. "User", "you" and "your" refer to anyone accessing or using the website.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to purchase products or services through Orbitrock.
If you use Orbitrock on behalf of a company, organisation or other entity, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.
3. User accounts
Some features of Orbitrock may require you to create an account. You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate account information
- Keeping your login credentials secure
- Preventing unauthorised access to your account
- Keeping your contact details up to date
- All activity conducted through your account
You must notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that are used fraudulently, unlawfully or in breach of these Terms.
4. Dataset marketplace
Orbitrock provides datasets across different subjects and industries. Dataset listings may include information such as:
- Dataset title
- Description
- Categories
- Number of records
- File format
- File size
- Fields or columns
- Sample information
- Data source
- Date or version information
- Licence or usage restrictions
You should review the dataset description carefully before purchasing. The exact content and structure of datasets may vary.
5. Dataset purchases
Prices displayed on Orbitrock will be shown before you complete a purchase.
By completing an order, you agree to pay the displayed price and any applicable taxes or charges.
Once payment has been successfully processed, you will normally receive access to download the purchased dataset.
An order is considered accepted when we provide confirmation of the purchase or make the dataset available for download.
6. Digital downloads and cancellation rights
Datasets sold through Orbitrock are normally supplied as digital content available for immediate download.
Where required by applicable consumer law, before receiving immediate access to downloadable digital content, you may be asked to:
- Consent to the download beginning immediately; and
- Acknowledge that you may lose your statutory right to cancel once the download or supply begins.
Nothing in these Terms removes any statutory rights you have under applicable consumer law.
7. Refunds
Because datasets are digital products that can normally be accessed or downloaded immediately, purchases may not be refundable once downloading or digital supply has begun where you have provided the legally required consent and acknowledgement.
However, you may be entitled to a refund, replacement or other remedy where:
- The dataset is materially different from its description
- The purchased file cannot be accessed or downloaded
- The file is corrupted
- The wrong dataset was supplied
- Applicable consumer law gives you a right to a remedy
Refund requests will be considered according to the circumstances and applicable law. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory consumer rights.
8. Licence to use purchased datasets
Unless a dataset listing states otherwise, purchasing a dataset gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the dataset for lawful purposes. Permitted uses may include:
- Research
- Data analysis
- Business intelligence
- Statistical analysis
- Software development
- Artificial intelligence and machine learning projects
- Academic projects
- Data visualisation
- Internal business use
- Personal projects
Purchasing a dataset does not transfer ownership of Orbitrock, the dataset marketplace or any intellectual property belonging to Orbitrock or third parties.
9. Prohibited uses
Unless expressly permitted by the applicable dataset licence, you must not:
- Resell the dataset in substantially the same form
- Redistribute the original downloadable file publicly
- Upload purchased datasets to competing dataset marketplaces
- Share paid download links or account credentials
- Circumvent access or payment controls
- Use datasets for unlawful activities
- Use Orbitrock to infringe intellectual property rights
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to Orbitrock systems
- Scrape or automatically extract substantial portions of the marketplace without permission
You may use information derived from datasets in your own research, analysis, applications and other lawful projects where permitted by the applicable licence.
10. Dataset sources and accuracy
Orbitrock aims to provide useful and accurately described datasets.
However, datasets may contain information compiled from public sources, third-party sources, licensed sources, original research or other data collections.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, we do not guarantee that every dataset is:
- Completely accurate
- Complete
- Error-free
- Current
- Suitable for every possible purpose
Data can change over time, and users should independently verify important information before relying on it.
11. No professional advice
Datasets and information available through Orbitrock are provided for informational, analytical, research and development purposes. They do not constitute professional advice.
In particular, datasets relating to areas such as:
- Medicine
- Health
- Finance
- Law

They should not be used as a substitute for professional medical diagnosis, treatment or advice.
Do not make medical decisions solely on the basis of information contained in an Orbitrock dataset.

14. Personal data within datasets
Some datasets may contain information relating to individuals. Where this occurs, users are responsible for ensuring that their processing and use of that information complies with applicable privacy and data protection laws.
You must not use Orbitrock datasets to unlawfully identify individuals, harass people, discriminate against individuals or otherwise violate applicable privacy laws.
15. Intellectual property
The Orbitrock website, including its design, branding, text, graphics, software and other original content, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Datasets may have separate intellectual property rights and licence conditions.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify or commercially exploit Orbitrock's website content except where permitted by law or with our written permission.

Orbitrock is not responsible for the availability or practices of third-party websites or services.
17. Payments

- Events outside our reasonable control
We may modify, suspend or discontinue parts of the service where reasonably necessary.
19. Changes to datasets
We may update datasets to improve accuracy, add information, correct errors or change file structures.
A dataset available at a later date may therefore differ from an earlier version.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, purchasing a dataset does not automatically guarantee access to every future version of that dataset.
20. Pricing
Dataset prices may change from time to time. Price changes do not affect purchases that have already been completed.
We may occasionally offer discounts, promotions or free datasets. Promotional offers may be subject to additional conditions.
21. Misuse of Orbitrock
You must not use Orbitrock in a way that:
- Violates applicable law
- Damages or disrupts the website
- Attempts to compromise website security
- Introduces malware or malicious code
- Uses automated systems to overload the service

We may restrict or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.
22. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
To the extent permitted by law, Orbitrock will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of datasets or reliance on information obtained through the website.
Users remain responsible for independently assessing whether data is appropriate for their particular application.
Where you are acting as a consumer, your statutory rights remain unaffected.
23. Indemnity
Where you use Orbitrock for business purposes, you agree to be responsible for losses, claims or reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of Orbitrock or material breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
