Understanding in-app purchases and subscriptions

What are In-App Purchases?

In-app purchases allow you to buy additional content, features, or subscriptions within an app. These can include premium features, virtual currency, ad removal, or subscription services.

Types of In-App Purchases

  • Consumable: Items that can be purchased multiple times (e.g., virtual currency)
  • Non-Consumable: One-time purchases (e.g., premium features, ad removal)
  • Auto-Renewable Subscriptions: Recurring payments (e.g., monthly premium access)
  • Non-Renewing Subscriptions: Time-limited access that doesn't auto-renew

Safety & Security

  • All purchases are processed securely through Apple
  • You'll be asked to authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or password
  • Review purchase details before confirming
  • Check your receipt in Settings > Apple ID > Media & Purchases

Managing Subscriptions

To manage or cancel subscriptions:

  1. Go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
  2. Select the subscription you want to manage
  3. Choose to cancel or modify your subscription

Important: You can request a refund within 90 days of purchase through Apple Support if you're not satisfied with your purchase.
